MICHIGAN — A SMART bus driver who fell asleep at the wheel and caused a major accident, has been arraigned on a misdemeanor charge.

Leon Rasheed, 65, was arraigned on a Moving Violation Causing Serious Impairment of Bodily Function. The penalty could carry up to a 93-day jail sentence.
Cameras were rolling in the bus when the crash happened in October on Maple Road in West Bloomfield.
You can see the driver suddenly realize there is trouble, stand as he appears to put all his weight on the brakes, then slam into eight cars.
