The Taliban had a detailed hit list of students that it used for the December 16 attack on a Peshawar school. The Taliban’s Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP confirmed the existence of such a list in an email on Wednesday.

“More than 50 sons of important army officers were killed after being identified,” the email said.  “The auditorium where students of secondary and higher secondary sections were being taught first aid was targeted.”

The Taliban took the lives of 132 children and nine staff.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif responded to the attack promising that government forces would find those responsible, the Associated Press reported.

“The fight will continue. No one should have any doubt about it. We will take account of each and every drop of our children’s blood.”
