BEAVER COUNTY, PITTSBURGH — Police have released the sketch of a woman which they believe may help them uncover her identity.
The human head was found in a wooded area by a student on their way to school on December 12.
The person appears to have been a woman around 50 years old.
The corner said it appears the head had been embalmed and is puzzled to how it got there. The woman had soft gray curly hair and a full set of teeth, the corner added.
“There’s somebody out there that had the assurance that their loved one, whether it be a mother, grandmother, an aunt, that they were laid to peace,” said Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh.
“I’m speculating now, but it’s obvious to all of us that somebody intervened, at some point, whether just prior to burial transportation or after, and that’s the person that we’re looking for,” said Berosh.
