LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Leonard Simon Nimoy was an American actor, film director, poet, singer, and photographer.
He passed away at his home in Bel-air. The New York Times reports the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Nimoy was best known for his role as Spock in the original Star Trek series, and in multiple film, television, and video game sequels.
