The ASPCA and the Center for Animal Control and Care were called to the location to help with the investigation and determine if the conditions were suitable for the animals.
The decision was made to take the rabbits into the custody of the ASPCA  to allow the rabbits to be screened for any possible medical conditions.
The colony of rabbits is currently being treated at the ASPCA medical center where the investigation will continue.
