RHINEBECK — An elderly woman was killed today after her Husband let her out of their car so he could go park.
It’s believed the man thought the car was in reverse before hitting the gas pedal.
The woman was knocked onto a concrete sidewalk.
Rhinebeck Fire and Police departments were dispatched for a call of a pedestrian hit by a car in front of 20 East Market Street at 12:15 p.m., according to a news release.
The news release stated: “Both victims were transported to Northern Dutchess Hospital where the pedestrian was pronounced deceased.”
