Missing Toddler Found Safe After Mother Was Brutally Murdered In Baton Rouge

    BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — A 2-year-old girl has been found safe in the city after her mother was murdered Saturday, police said.

    24-year-old Taylor Latham moved to Baton Rouge from Texas with her daughter a few months ago.

    Police believe the shooting occurred sometime Saturday night. According to WAFB, the victim was shot in the head while sitting in her car in her driveway.

    Police have not said how or where they located the child.

    Louisiana State Police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory for the missing toddler Tuesday morning.

    Anyone with information that might help police solve the murder of Taylor Latham is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
