A Virginia man pulled a knife on police officers and prepared to throw it when officers tried to remove him from a hotel room on Saturday.

Christopher Todd Jackson, 50, is charged with two counts of assault on police and with trespassing.

Jackson had called the police himself to file a civil complaint about a hotel in which he was residing. When the officers responded to the call at 11:30 a.m. he told them about his dissatisfaction with his room, located in the 3000 block of Richmond Road.

Jackson became verbally aggressive with the hotel staff three and was subsequently given three and a half hours to vacate his room.

Police returned to the hotel at 3:05 p.m. to find Jackson still hadn’t left the hotel and took him into custody for trespassing.

Jackson then pulled out a knife, preparing to throw it.

Officers used a stun gun on Jackson before the knife could be thrown

He was arrested and taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail

Neither officer was injured during the incident.
