Four people were arrested in connection to an armed robbery of a Quality Inn after several robberies across two counties in South Carolina.

An armed robbery at the Quality Inn was their last stop, however, when a gunshot ended it all.

“All of a sudden he goes give me all your money, so I started pulling out bills and everything,” said Pat Coats, who was robbed at gun point.

The robbery at the Quality Inn began at around 10:30 pm on Friday night. Twenty-seven-year-old David Dempsey entered the hotel lobby, demanded cash and nearly got away with 300 dollars.

“I didn’t want to get shot as he was waving his gun around. He could have shot me anywhere,” Coats said.

“On the way out I hear a pop, and the gun had gone off, and that tells me that’s real. He screams then starts limping, but there was a car outside and he got away pretty quickly. Karma got him by that gun going off.”

Dempsey was arrested, along with 19 year old Autumn Cooper, 21 year old Breanna Dudley, and 25 year old Bradley Parrish also accomplices.

All four were taken to the Aiken County jail, the station reported. Dempsey received medical treatment first, the AP added. Columbia County deputies had warrants out for Dempsey and Parrish.
