DALLAS-FORT WORTH, Texas — The man, 46-year-old Terry Martin and his girlfriend, Laurice Hampton, 48 are both dead in a murder-suicide.
The couple, who lived together for several years, began arguing after Martin won a five-hundred dollar lottery ticket and did not want to share the winnings with Hampton.
The suspect pulled a gun and shot Hampton in the chest, she was able to call 911. Martin then killed himself with a single gunshot to the head.
When police arrived, Terry Martin was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Hampton was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she died a few hours later.
Fort Worth is the 17th-largest city in the United States of America and the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas.
