BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — Reginald Augustus, 23, has been arrested after a young child said she was his ‘girlfriend.’
The victim’s mother was making conversation with someone at their about Augustus and said, “He never has a girlfriend.” — “Reginald does have a girlfriend. I am his girlfriend,” said the six-year-old.
The mother then asked the child if Augustus had ever touched her… The girl told her mother that the suspect had touched her “between her legs when she was wearing pajamas,” according to a BRPD report.
Another parent in the conversation asked her children if he had ever harmed them. a 10-year-old said that Augustus “would sleep with her under the same blanket, and that he touched her inappropriately,” WAFB reported.
The initial incident occurred in August of 2014.
Ausustus was charged with two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, and is being held in jail on a $50,000 bond, the report said.
