Postal Worker Goes Postal at Post Office — ICYMI

DALLAS FORT WORTH, Texas — A US Postal worker walked into the Post Office around 7 a.m. and pulled a gun on his co-workers. The address of the business is 400 North Retta Rd.

The suspect, Jason Silmon, allegedly pulled a handgun on 11 workers and told them to get on the ground. All the workers complied.

The suspect eventually put down the gun and was apprehended when police arrived.

Silmon was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. No one was hurt.

From NBC-DFW: ‘Silmon’s father, Robert Silmon, told The Fort Worth Star-Telegram that his 27-year-old son was not violent and had worked for the post office for more than a decade. He did say that his son told him Friday he left work early to cool off after a confrontation with co-workers.’

Dallas is a major city in Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio.
