JUST IN: One Shot Dead, Another Beaten With Ball Bat On Thanksgiving Day

ANDERSON, INDIANA –Police arrived on the scene and found Brandon Boone, 24, in the front yard of a neighboring residence.

He was suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Boone and his brother were visiting the barber shop where the brother is employed. The shop was not officially open for business, the owner of the shop, James Hurd, was cutting Boone’s hair while the other watched television.

Two suspects approached the door and were told the shop was closed.

They returned a short time later and kicks the door down. One armed with a handgun, the other with a baseball bat.

The suspects demanded money and one man complied with the money in his pocket. Boone told the attackers he didn’t have any money and ran towards the restrooms. He was shot in the back. His brother was severely bested with the bat.

The two black, male suspects are still on the loose.
