KINGS MOUNTAIN, North Carolina — Officials say a blind beagle was found decapitated, her body between two trees, after a home was broken into on Thursday.

The Tri County Animal Shelter says they are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

The dog’s head is still missing.

The family says they found the dog, named Libby, lifeless. They said it was so graphic, they are not telling their children exactly how she died.
