OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK, Washington — 54-year-old Christopher E. Boysen was found dead at a campsite south of Port Angeles by Olympic National Park personnel after his landlord reported him missing, the Peninsula Daily News reported.
Boysen, who owned a crossbow, was hit and killed by a short arrow fired by a crossbow. The FBI is investigating.
Officials say the don’t know where the entrance wound was in Boysen’s head and can’t rule out a homicide but it doesn’t look like a crime scene.
Boysen, described by his landlord as ‘a hermit’, left his apartment to go camping January 22. His body was found on February 4 after his landlord reported him missing.
No suicide note was found. Boysen had paid his rent before leaving, and a check of his bank records revealed a recent $100 cash withdrawal.
