Fire Intentionally Set At Mosque In Oklahoma

    TULSA, Oklahoma – TheĀ Tulsa Fire Department says a building fire at the Tulsa Islamic Center has been ruled arson.

    The fire was reported at 4620 South Irvington, according to a news release from TFD Spokesperson Stan May. An arson investigator was called to the school at 12:36 a.m. Sunday, records show.

    The location is a school connected to a mosque.

    “No further information on how it was started or potential suspects since it’s an active investigation,” May said in a news release.

    Tulsa is the second-largest city in the State of Oklahoma and 47th-most populous city in the United States. As of July 2013 the population was 398,121, an increase of 6,215 over that reported in the 2010 Census.
