Dorm Room Search At Oregon State Univ. Leads To Child Porn Arrest

CORVALLIS, Ore. — A student was arrested at Oregon State University Friday on charges related to disseminating child pornography from his computer, following a warrant served at his dormitory room.

Phillip Jean Bardenheier, 19 shared pornography to a computer. During an interview, he admitted to possessing, downloading, and using the internet to share child pornography, police said.

The Environmental Engineering student from California was arrested on campus, Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley said, and charged with two counts of encouraging child sex abuse and lodged at the Linn County Jail.

Investigators searched Bardenheier’s dorm room at Buxton Hall and seized several electronic devices, including computers. (KOIN 6)
