On March 4th, 2015, TPD dispatch received several 911 calls from residents reporting shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and discovered Cabella tied to the railroad tracks with multiple gunshot wounds. Over the past week, detectives received a tip that led to the identity of the two suspects. Through the investigation, detectives have discovered that the dog was purchased for fighting.

When Cabella wouldn’t fight, they decided to get rid of her. The two suspects, along with others went to the railroad tracks. Hollinger threw the dog into the woods and fired at the dog. The dog ran back home, sat injured on the front porch, they caught her and brought her back to the tracks, tied her to the tracks and Callaway shot her several times.

They fled the scene. Detectives found surveillance video near the scene that shows the suspects walking the dog to the tracks and several minutes later, running away. Because of previous contact, an officer recognized one of the individuals in the video and made contact with that person.

He identified the two suspects and during interviews, they admitted to the offense. Additional suspects and charges are pending. The suspects were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center. Mugshots will be available tomorrow.
