SANTA Clarita, California -Newhall- The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the heinous crime Tuesday.
30-year-old Matthew Brendan Warner was arrested after the infant was reported missing.
Officials found the dead baby in his pick-up truck.
According to KTLA:
“Warner was charged with murder, assault on a child causing death, torture, oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, and aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.”
Warner is being held on $2.25 Million bail.
Newhall is the southernmost and oldest district of Santa Clarita, California.
Prior to the 1987 consolidation of Canyon Country,Saugus, Newhall, and other geographically proximate settlements into the conglomerate city of Santa Clarita, it was an independent but unincorporated town.
It was the first permanent Anglo settlement in the valley. The Lyons Station Stagecoach Stop was located where the town now stands.
