PALMS, LOS ANGELES — 3000 block of Mortor Avenue — At least one person is dead and four others were shot in the Palms area of LA.
The shootings occurred at three separate locations within two miles of each other, KABC reported.
Another victim near the scene was found stabbed with an ice pick, it’s unclear if the stabbing is related to the shooting.
A munhunt is on for at least two suspects. It’s unclear what provoked the shooting.
Palms Middle and Palms Elementary schools are on lockdown as a precaution due to police activity in the area.
Police are searching for a suspect in a white Ford Explorer.
Kids are safe and officers are on campus, LASPD says.
