Pakistani military officials say that they have killed 32 militants in an ambush in the the country’s northwest region.
The operations come just days following the massacre of 148 people, most of them children – in a school by the Taliban.
The military stated on Friday that militants had been moving through the Tirah Valley of the Khyber region to the Afghanistan border when they were ambushed by Pakistani forces. Three Pakistani troops were wounded in the incident.
This ambush comes following an earlier announcement that the Pakistani military had killed 27 militants in air strikes and ground operations in the same region.
