On Monday around 1:17AM, police responded to a 911 call of a residential fire inside of 2954 West 8 Street, apartment 15D, within the confines of the 60 Precinct. Upon arrival and extinguishment of the fire by FDNY, officers observed a 93-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive inside of the location. EMS also responded and transported the aided male to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
