On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at approximately 3:13PM, NYPD responded to a 911 of a pedestrian struck at 2589 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard within the confines of the 32nd Precinct.Upon arrival officers discovered a 12-year-old male with severe head and body trauma. EMS arrived and transported the male to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 12-year-old male was crossing west bound at the intersection of 150th Street and Seventh Avenue when he was struck by a Livery Taxi travelling south bound on Seventh Avenue.
The operator of the vehicle remained on the scene and the investigation is ongoing NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
