Mr. Knight was supposed to appear at the Los Angeles courthouse Thursday for arraignment on a criminal threats charge and for a scheduling hearing in a robbery case.

Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Mary Hearn says Knight was taken away by ambulance before the hearing started but there was no information explaining why.

The Sheriff’s Department did not have any immediate information on Knight’s condition.

This is the second time in two weeks that Knight has been hospitalized while in police custody.

EARLIER REPORT — JANUARY 29: Suge Knight has been taken to a hospital complaining of chest pains after he appeared in court in a murder case, according to the AP.

According to TMZ:

“Suge began experiencing chest pains after he was taken from the holding area at the courthouse to the hospital. Suge family sources tell us, doctors determined he’s suffering from yet another blood clot — like the one that almost killed him in a Vegas jail 3 months ago.

We’re told the clots began forming after Suge was shot 6 times last summer during VMA weekend.

Our sources say Suge has now been moved to Long Beach Memorial where doctors have put him on blood thinners … but it’s clearly a serious situation.

Suge won’t be able to make a fast break … he’s been handcuffed to the bed and is under 24/7 watch.”

COMPTON, Calif. –In addition to premeditated murder, Knight was charged with attempted murder, hit and run resulting in death, and hit and run resulting in injury — all felonies.

According to the LA Times, the $2.2-million bail for former rap music mogul Suge Knight has been revoked, attorney James E. Blatt told the Los Angeles Times.

“It was at $2.2 million and just a few minutes ago it was changed to ‘no bail,’ ” Blatt said at 11:40 a.m. “I am working now to see what has happened.”

Knight claims he was attacked by two people and tried to escape in the car, which led to the hit-and-run at about 3 p.m. yesterday at Central Avenue and 142nd Street.

The man killed in the fatal hit-and-run was identified as Terry Carter.

Knight’s attorney, James Blatt, confirmed the victim’s name to TheWrap Friday. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department didn’t identify Carter, but said the deceased victim was 55 years old.

Media reports identified the second person injured as Cle “Bone” Sloan, an activist and actor who appeared in Antoine Fuqua‘s Oscar-winning film “Training Day.”

Knight, 49, surrendered to authorities at 3 a.m. Friday. His bail was at $2 million. He’s expected to make his first court appearance next week, Blatt said.

EARLIER REPORT:

Knight is expected to turn himself in to sheriff’s deputies, his lawyer James Blatt said.

Blatt added that Knight struck a friend named Terry, a man who was later pronounced dead.

He said the second pedestrian was actor Cle Sloan, who was not seriously hurt.

Knight was apparently on a film set in Compton earlier and reportedly ran over a bystander after an altercation with a crew member during the shoot.

The Game, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and more were on set—possibly filming the N.W.A. movie, as photos would suggest—when Knight rolled up and got into a fight with a crew member while he was behind the wheel.

Knight reportedly put his car in reverse and ran over a bystander on the scene. Witnesses claim the bystander was killed but cops have yet to confirm a suspect or death yet.

According to TMZ:

“Suge Knight got into a fight on the set of film project in Compton, and ran over a man who may have been killed … according to witnesses.

Multiple witnesses tell us some kind of shoot — possibly for a movie or documentary — was going down with Game, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre when Suge pulled up to the scene.

We’re told a fight broke out between Suge and a crew member on the shoot … while Suge was still behind the wheel of his car. Suge allegedly threw his car in reverse … and ran over a bystander.

It’s unclear at this point if the man was connected to the film project, but people on scene say he was killed.”

Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight, Jr. is the founder and CEO of Black Kapital Records and co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records.

Death Row Records rose to dominate the rap charts after Dr. Dre’s breakthrough album The Chronic in 1992.
