At least two people were shot after witnesses say they heard someone yell “Fu-k You!” inside the crowded store as people were stocking up for the upcoming snow storm.
The shooter is believed to be an employee at the store.
The other victim was a supervisor.
The store was then evacuated as SWAT teams arrived and combed the scene.
‘It was crazy,’ shopper Susan Lowry told the Post. ‘Some people jumped on the floor, others hid behind aisles or ran for the exits.’
Both victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital, and police say the shooter died The other victim is in critical condition, according to ABC 7.
According to the NY Post, one of the victims was a fellow worker who had just returned from a trip to visit his wife and child in France.
‘I heard about some shots towards the back of the store. It sounded like 4 or 5 shots.
‘I heard someone yell, “Oh, my God, he’s dead!” It was on the main floor near the lighting department.
