UPDATE: 1 Dead After Cross-Dressers Try To Crash Through Gate At NSA

FORT MEADE, Maryland — One suspect is dead and two others are injured after an altercation at the gates of the NSA at Fort Meade. The second suspect is at a hospital but his condition is ‘grave.’

The guard who shot the suspects is also wounded. His condition is unknown.

The suspects and victims identities have not been released.

Reports say the suspects were disguised as women while trying to make entry. At some point during the altercation with guards, shots were fired.

A gun and drugs were found in the vehicle the men were riding in, according to NBC.

Statement From The FBI:

FBI Baltimore is investigating a shooting incident which occurred this morning at a gate at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade just off I-295 in Anne Arundel County, MD. The shooting scene is contained and we do not believe it is related to terrorism. We are investigating with NSA Police and other law enforcement agencies. Our Evidence Response Team is processing the crime scene, and FBI Agents are doing joint interviews with witnesses. We are working with the US Attorney’s Office in Maryland to determine if federal charges are warranted. We have no further information at this time to release.

The incident happened at the NSA building off of Route 32.
