NEWARK, NJ — One person is dead and at least 3 others have been shot during the Mother’s Day bike blessing in Newark.
It all went down near Springfield Avenue and South 19th Street, WABC reported. It’s unclear what led up to or provoked the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.
According to witnesses on social media, 4 people were shot and the teenager in the photo below died from a gunshot wound to the head. WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTO.

The victim’s identity has not been released. Police are investigating the shooting and ask for anyone with information to call 877-847-7432.
