UPDATE: Man Randomly Shot 4 People Dead After Fight With Girlfriend In Menasha, WI.

Menasha, Wisconsin–  “This evening around 7:30 PM we had an active shooter incident on the Trestle Trail over Little Lake Butte des Morts. There are multiple victims. We believe we have the suspect in custody and there is no additional danger to the public. We will update as soon we are able.”

“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this incredibly difficult situation. As has been reported via the major news outlets, there were five people involved in the shooting. Four of the five are deceased, including the suspect. One victim remains in critical condition at Theda Clark Hospital. Names are not being released at this time due to pending family notifications. A press conference will be held tomorrow with additional information. Time of the press conference is yet to be determined.”

Officials say no officers responding to the scene fired a weapon. They also say that the incident appears to be a random act and that the public is not in any danger at this time.

The suspect, Sergio Daniel Valencia del Toro and his fiancee had recently canceled their wedding and had an argument on Sunday. del Toro then retrieved two handguns and rode a bicycle to the trestle trail.

From WISN: Syka said Jonathan Stoffel, 33, and his 11-year-old daughter, Olivia, were shot and killed on the trail.  Stoffel’s wife, Erin, 32, was shot three times and is being treated at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center.

Another man, Adam Bentdahl, 31, was shot and killed at the scene before police said del Toro turned the gun on himself. He was pronounced dead at Theda Clark hospital.
