The suspect, Steve Uwanawich, 33 is feared dead after an incident that started in a parking garage.
Uwanawich was with his 15-year-old son in a Lexus at the garage when the suspect crashed into a parked car, Police say.
The man and his son fled the scene. They both leaped into a lake near the casino and tried to swim across, police said.
The teen made the swim and told an Officer his father didn’t make it across the lake and may have drowned.
A dive team has yet to find Steve Uwanawich’s body. A Broward Sheriff’s Office helicopter utilizing infrared and a boat that uses sonar were also used in the search, Local10 reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
