LACEY, Washington — A teacher at Thurston High school is being called a hero after apprehending a would-be school shooter Monday morning.
Student Rodolfo Ruedas told Q13 FOX News said he was preparing for a normal Monday morning when he heard people shouting about someone having a gun.
The witness said he then saw Mr. Brady Olsen, a teacher, holding down the suspect on the floor.
One student tweeted: ‘I owe mr. Olson my life . I think we all do. I wouldn’t have had the courage to do that.’
Students were taken to a football field where they will be released to their parents.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
