FBI Sends 100 Additional Agents To #Ferguson, Grand Jury Decision Expected Soon

The FBI has sent almost 100 additional agents to Ferguson, Missouri, to help law enforcement there as officials prepare for possible unrest ahead of a grand jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting.

A U.S. official said Friday that the agents will supplement the law enforcement presence. The official was not authorized to discuss the FBI plans by name and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The shooting death of Michael Brown occurred on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, MO. a suburb of St. Louis. Brown, an 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot by Darren Wilson, 28, a white police officer. The disputed circumstances of the shooting resulted in protests and civil unrest and received a large amount of Nationwide, even worldwide attention.
