SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – A Border Patrol K-9 from the Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) team located the body of a 20-year-old man who went missing March 20.

The body of Jordan Britten was located Thursday morning in waist-deep water in a marshy area near the Schlitterbahn waterpark. Britten had reportedly traveled from Killeen to celebrate spring break on South Padre Island and went missing following a concert.

The South Padre Island Police Department reached out to the Border Patrol for help in the search. Border Patrol K-9 teams are highly trained and often help other agencies in a variety of ways such as searching for missing persons and tracking fugitives.
