SALADO, Texas — I-35 —
A semi-truck burst into flames after some sort of crash and apparently caused a bridge to collapse, this is not confirmed.
The Austin Statesman is reporting that a semi-truck struck a beam on an overpass and the beam fell on to vehicles.
Rescue workers are on the scene. No word on fatalities or people trapped.
Workers are calling for heavy-duty rescue equipment.
Interstate 35 in Salado is shut down in both directions.
